Welcome to Just Off Pine- a gathering place for all things HOME.

My name is Pat Martin-Milk, otherwise known as, Pookey. I am very pleased you have taken the time to stop by.  This is a safe place for everyone to gather. Together with my very handsome and handy husband Gregg, as well as my incrediably adorable 78 year old Mama, GPat, which is of course is short for Grandma Pat, we are embarking on a whole new way of life.  The Covid-19 virus had forced us into quarentine, left me unemployed a mere 5 months short of retirement, and allowed us a fairly long stretch of time for personal reflection.

The three of us are currently nestled in tight in my, which is now actually our, 1830 Greek Revival home in the foothills of the Catskills on the Southern Tier of New York.

​

We have been blessed in this time of crisis to be together, safe, healthy and well prepared.  I hope that in this time, you too have been blessed.  My deepest condolences are extended to any and all who have lost a family member, friend or aquaintance to this horriable virus. All life is precious and all loss hurts.

As each and everyone of us must make adjustments to life after the C-19 virus; I hope you will come back and visit Just Off Pine again.

I invite you to come and share in our new adventure.  We will be sharing all things HOME. Recipes, techiniques for the arts of gardening, canning and preserving. We are sensible preppers willing to share our knowledge and experience. Everyone has new goals and intentions as a result of this worldwide pandemic- becoming self sufficient may be a goal we can strive for together.
